A vacation to Hawaii will not be cheap, but it can be worth it if you use it to your advantage. Here are some ways to get the best out of your vacation in Hawaii… for free.
- Hiking – Hiking in Hawaii easily has the highest return on investment for your money. The reason for this is that all you will spend money on is going to be the cost of parking and maybe the lunch that you might pack. In return, you will make memories and see sights that live on forever. The views from Hawaii’s mountains are like no other. Fair warning, some hikes are not for the faint of heart. If you can manage the climb, it is always worth the summit.
- Surfing/Beach – This one is a no-brainer in Hawaii. Hawaii is known for its great waves and crystal blue water year around. You can find a variety of beaches in Hawaii that can suit any beachgoer. Whether you like to ride waves and jump off cliffs or if you prefer to lounge on the sand and float on a floaty for hours, there is a beach for you in the Hawaiian Islands.
- Dive into Culture – There are a number of ways to learn about Hawaiian culture when visiting the islands. From going to farmer’s markets to attending hula shows, Hawaii contains years and years of rich culture that has a lot to offer. If you are so lucky to befriend a native islander, definitely ask about the history and maybe even a tour, because it is likely that you will miss out on a lot of cool information without the inside scoop.
These are just a few activities that make Hawaii the major tourist attraction that it is today. It is definitely going to be an expensive experience no matter which way you slice it, but it will always be worth your time and money. There is a reason it is so popular.
